Lidya Madencilik San. ve Tic. A.Ş. is a mining company founded for prospecting and mining with the goal of conducting a sustainable mining operation that complies with the national and international standards at every step of every project.

Aware of our social responsibility, we aim to achieve our goals within the frame of this policy, which will be reviewed at appropriate intervals in order to make the necessary updates after condition changes while improving our performance by investing in people, information and technology with our approach and understanding that are conscious of the society, employees and the environment.

In order to achieve our Environmental goals while conducting mining activities as all employees of Lidya Madencilik San. ve Tic. A.Ş, including contractors, suppliers and visitors, we hereby undertake that we will:

  • Ensure the establishment and implementation of an Environmental Management System that identifies, evaluates and manages the Environmental dimension and impacts of our mining activities and continuously monitor, review and improve this system,
  • Comply with legal regulations, other requirements and national and international standards related to Environmental matters,
  • Develop and maintain a constructive relationship by establishing transparent communication with the participation of public institutions, society, other stakeholders and our employees in order to take effective & practical decisions and measures,
  • Provide all necessary equipment and systems to ensure working conditions conscious of Environmental matters in which the employees act in cooperation, including the contractors and suppliers, train the employees and continuously improve our performance,
  • Ensure the sustainable use and maximum protection of labor, natural and other resources with the use of best innovative and applicable methods and technology at every stage of our mining activities,
  • Standardize the practices for Environmental matters for all activities of our company,
  • Take necessary measures to reduce the greenhouse gas impact and carbon emission during the selection of technology and mining activities,
  • Take necessary measures for the protection of biodiversity and ecosystem that may be related to certain areas of activity,
  • Establish, implement and monitor the budgets and plans necessary for the restoration and closing of lands likely to be affected by mining activities,
  • Minimize the amount of waste in our operations and facilities, prevent pollution, ensure that waste is collected separately at the source, take the necessary measures to increase recovery and reuse,
  • Be prepared against Environmental incidents and emergencies, develop and implement effective response systems for minimum damage and provide an environmentally-conscious working environment.
